GWR Resources appoints four members to advisory board
April 11, 2016. Vancouver, BC. David H. Brett, President & CEO, GWR Resources Inc. (the “Company,” TSX Venture: GWQ) reports that the Company has appointed Mr. Ken Gebauer, Mr. Brian Aitken, R.P.Bio, P.Ag, CPESC and Ms. Emily Cheung, P.Eng, M.A.Sc, FEC, and Mr. Dennis Allsopp to its advisory board. Mr. Aitken and Ms. Cheung bring significant environmental and engineering insight and expertise to GWR, while Mr. Gebauer and Mr. Allsopp brings a lifetime of executive, finance and corporate experience to the Company.

Ken Gebauer, FICB, is a Sr. Account Commercial Manager with a leading Canadian charter bank with 22 years’ experience in Commercial Finance and Commercial Risk Management. He currently manages a portfolio of business in excess of $200 Million. He is the past Chairman of the BOD’s of the McLeod Lake Indian Band Group of Companies from 2007-2014. He is also a past President of the Prince George Jaycees. Ken holds a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers designation as well as a Diploma in Business Administration from SIAST in Moose Jaw, SK.
Brian Aitken brings significant environmental experience to GWR. Mr. Aitken is a member of several professional organizations and is a Registered Professional Biologist in both BC and AB, a Professional Algologist and a Certified Professional in Sediment and Erosion Control. He has worked in a wide variety of environmental fields in his career and specializes in environmental management, planning, permitting and policies. Brian is the Corporate Environmental Manager at DWB Consulting Services Ltd and a principle in the company where he oversees a team of qualified environmental professionals working in a wide-variety of natural resource sectors including mining, energy, oil and gas, utilities, forestry and transportation. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and is currently serving on the board of directors for WestCan Projects Ltd and has been appointed to several advisory boards including, the University of Northern BC’s College of Science and Management - Ecosystem Science and Management Program Forestry Advisory Committee and the College of New Caledonia’s Natural Resource Program Advisory Committee.
Emily Cheung, MASc, PEng, FEC, has developed a career in engineering that will bring valuable insight to GWR. Emily has worked in the resource sector, energy, and transportation sectors throughout her career and has extensive experience as a director for numerous boards including Engineers Canada, Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board, and the Prince George Airport Authority. As the corporate engineering manager at DWB Consulting Services Ltd, Emily manages a team of engineers and technicians to successfully complete development, design, and construction projects. Emily holds a Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Applied Science degree in Environmental Fluid Mechanics (Civil) both from UBC.
Dennis Allsopp of Yorba Linda, California is a 35 veteran of the logistics and transportation industry. Appointed in 1997 as Managing Partner and COO of United Van Lines O’Neil Relocation Services, Mr. Allsopp grew the business dramatically, facilitated mergers and acquisitions, managed budgets, strategic planning, and worked to negotiate the sale of the company in 2002.He then assumed the position as President of United Mayflower Van Lines, S&M Moving. In 2009, Allsopp founded a military relocation company, in order to honor his father’s service to the United States Navy. Registered under U.S.N. Rail 139, the company provides logistics support to families within the United States military. Mr. Allsopp’s charitable endeavors include founding The California Private Investment Trust, through which he provides financial support to worthy charities on a local and global level.
In connection with the above appointments, the Company has granted incentive stock options to acquire 800,000 common shares at $0.07 for a period of two years, subject to regulatory approval.
