GWR Intersects 9.3% Copper, 8.4 gpt Gold, 48 gpt Silver in Aurizon South Zone

February 2, 2012

LAC LA HACHE, BRITISH COLUMBIA — GWR Resources Inc. (the “Company” or “GWR”) (TSX Venture: GWQ) is pleased to report assay results from DDH AZS11-29, testing the gold-rich Aurizon South Cu-Au-Ag Zone located on the large Lac La Hache Porphyry/Skarn Project in central British Columbia.

GWR recommenced drilling in the Aurizon Zone South (AZS) in December 2011. The Zone is a near-vertical, potassically altered structure within a monzonitic, alkalic intrusion. The AZS structure includes hydrothermal breccia containing multi-gram gold values ranging from a few grams per tonne up to 26 grams per tonne, with associated copper and silver. The Company has reinterpreted the 2010 drilling results, historical Induced Polarization surveys and utilized a new Titan-24 survey to reinterpret the strike of the zone to 020 degrees. The South zone now appears directly linked to the adjacent Aurizon Central to the north, which also contains hydrothermal breccia with gold-enriched copper values. Mobile Metal Ion soil geochemical surveys support the new interpretation, showing a strong 020 degree gold trend over both zones, extending several hundred meters to the south. More rigorous interpretation of the new Titan data is underway, and is expected to improve understanding of the mineralization trends.

Four drill holes were completed in December 2011 (AZS11-27, -28, 29, -30) and all holes have intersected the hydrothermal breccia with visible chalcopyrite. However, results from DDH AZS11-29 indicate local, upward extension of higher grades, including 8 meters (227-235m down-hole) containing 3.6% Cu, 3.4 gpt Au, 19 gpt Ag, including 2 meters containing 9.3% Cu, 8.4 gpt Au and 48.1 gpt Ag. This 9.3% copper value represents the highest 2-meter drill core assay obtained to date within the Aurizon Zones.

Drilling continues within the Aurizon South Zone to delineate strike extent and assess feasibility of both open pit and underground mining of both Aurizon Zones.

GWR is an active mineral exploration company currently exploring for gold and base metals on two properties within Canada. The Lac La Hache copper-gold porphyry/skarn magnetite-copper project hosts multiple zones containing commercial grades of gold, copper, silver and magnetite. The project is located in British Columbia’s prolific Quesnel Trough between producing mines at Imperial Metals’ Mt. Polley Copper-Gold Mine and New Gold Inc.’s New Afton Copper-Gold project (Teck-Cominco’s legendary Afton mine). The Lac La Hache project is well-served by rail, road and power infrastructure. The Sainte Sabine gold (+Ag, Zn, Cu) property is located within the Bellechasse Mineral Belt in southeastern Quebec, adjacent to known zones on Golden Hope Mines’ Bellechasse Project.
