Dr. Gerry Ray
Dr. Ray, who completed his studies in England, came to Canada after working in Africa, Asia, South America, and Australia. In British Columbia, he worked with the BC Geological Survey for 21 years, mapping multiple mining districts and studying a variety of deposit types, including gold veins in the Coquihalla Gold Belt and Harrison Lake area. He is best known for his expertise in BC skarns and porphyry systems. A regular contributor to “Economic Geology,” he is now a globally sought-after consultant.
Warner Uhl
Warner Uhl, MBA, CRM, PMP, CSO is a project and risk management professional who brings resource development projects from inception to completion. He has managed mine permitting, engineering, construction, commissioning and operations teams always looking to optimize and reduce costs without impacting quality and safety. Warner has expertise in feasibility study reviews, trade off studies, and financial analysis. He has directed teams in the home office and in the field. Of note was completing the Mt. Milligan project on time and under budget with over 5 million man hours without a lost-time incident. Most recently he was the EPCM project director on the $2.0 Billion Iamgold Cote Project. He has First Nations expertise and understanding, having participated in over 20 First Nations JV’s. Warner has consulted on numerous projects and identified ways of improving IRR and moving projects forward to operations. He has a solid industry reputation of identifying high potential projects and maximising their potential. He is also active in the community with BC Children’s Hospital, Big Brothers, Thompson Rivers University and active on many industry committees.
Brian Aitken
Brian Aitken brings significant environmental experience to EnGold. Mr. Aitken is a member of several professional organizations and is a Registered Professional Biologist in both BC and AB, a Professional Algologist and a Certified Professional in Sediment and Erosion Control. He has worked in a wide variety of environmental fields in his career and specializes in environmental management, planning, permitting and policies. Brian is the Corporate Environmental Manager at DWB Consulting Services Ltd and a principle in the company where he oversees a team of qualified environmental professionals working in a wide-variety of natural resource sectors including mining, energy, oil and gas, utilities, forestry and transportation. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and is currently serving on the board of directors for WestCan Projects Ltd and has been appointed to several advisory boards including, the University of Northern BC’s College of Science and Management - Ecosystem Science and Management Program Forestry Advisory Committee and the College of New Caledonia’s Natural Resource Program Advisory Committee.
Emily Cheung
Emily Cheung, MASc, PEng, FEC, has developed a career in engineering that will bring valuable insight to EnGold. Emily has worked in the resource sector, energy, and transportation sectors throughout her career and has extensive experience as a director for numerous boards including Engineers Canada, Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board, and the Prince George Airport Authority. As the corporate engineering manager at DWB Consulting Services Ltd, Emily manages a team of engineers and technicians to successfully complete development, design, and construction projects. Emily holds a Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Applied Science degree in Environmental Fluid Mechanics (Civil) both from UBC.
